Lightbulb LED Recessed Lights Don't Turn On At The Same Time!

Hello everyone, my husband and I installed LED lights in our living room, and when we turned on the lightswitch, the light that's first wired to the switch took a few seconds longer than the others to illuminate. We wired them in series. Any ideas why the light that should be theoretically first to receive power takes the longest to turn on? Thanks for the help!

We wired them in series.
If you really do mean series then that is wrong. they should be daisy chained in parallel.

Really? Our contractor showed us to do it this way. What's bad about series?

Series causes a reduction in current from the first bulb to the remaining bulbs. Pull the first bulb out of the sequence and none of the lights will illuminate. As Ray said, they should be wired parallel.

Oops, just talked with my husband and apparently we did wire them in Parallel. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, any idea what could be causing the issue?

Swap the slow light with one of the other lights and see if the first light is still the slow light.
