Installing Flush mount ceiling fixture
Hi guys,
I have installed a flush mount ceiling light that has two bulbs. Its about 14 inches wide. The question i have is regarding the leads that come from each bulb. Ideally you'd tuck all wires in the electrical box in the ceiling, however since the bulbs are to the edge of the fixture, the wires run along the ceiling (between the insulation of the fixture and the ceiling) until they reach the electrical box where the connections are made with marettes. Is this safe?
Thanks for your time,

Welcome to the forums! From your initial description, no. Is there a way for you to post pictures of your situation so we can see what you are seeing? No close ups, please. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

If the wires you are talking about are connected directly to the sockets and are fixture wire installed by the mfg. I see no problem with that as long as your splices are made up in the ceiling box.
