Time to fish a wire?

I have a ceiling light that has gone out. I swapped out the dimmer switch, thinking maybe I just wasnt reading it right with my DMM. Pulled the light down checked the fixture, pulled the wire nuts, checked there no power. I have power going out of the switch. I can not (easily) get into the ceiling. Older (I mean Old), farm home.
SO I guess my next goal is to fish a wire from the wall area, to the ceiling fixture. Would this be an easy fish? Difficult question I know.

Does power come in at the switch or the light?

You are going to need to pull a cable, not a wire.

Some troubleshooting my save you some effort. Is there power at the fixture, but no neutral? You may need an extension cord to measure from a known good source.
