wiring new lights

Hi, I'm a newbie to electrical but can do some basics. My question is currently I have 3 seperate recessed lights above my island in the kitchen. I want to know if it is possible to take those 3 lights and combine them into 1 circuit so I can have 1 bigger light instead of the 3?
Thanks

You could use just one circuit and abandon the other two. Separate circuits usually means separate breakers. Do you mean separate switches but all on the same breaker. If so are all three switches in the same box?

I would bet they are already all on the same circuit. If you are just think of changing the fixture type you should have few issues.
