Ceiling fan light help

I have been having trouble with my ceiling fan light. When I pull the chain it does not turn on. If I go over to the switch and turn the switch off I hear a little noise like a click and then I turn the switch back on and the light will work with the chain. The fan doesn't seem to be having any issues and I have already checked the wiring on the switch and the wiring in the ceiling and they are good. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums! Do you have a separate switch for the fan and the light? It is possible you have a bad switch, since it all hinges on whether or not you turn the switch on and off.

Just one switch that supplies power to the light and fan. It's not something that happens all the time. I was wondering if it could be the pull chain itself?

Yes, the pull chain could be it.
