LED lights to toggle switch

im going to run some LED lights to a illuminated toggle switch. the switch has prons to hook up power, acc (my LED's) and ground. so my question is what gauge of wire will i need to run from my power pron to a car battery?

Assuming you're talking about LED tape or LED sticks commonly available at auto parts stores for accent lighting, you could use as small as 18ga with a 3 amp (purple) fuse. Those kind of LEDs have very little power draw, and even if you wired several of them to the switch, the load would not exceed one amp.

If you're talking about LED fog lights or some other high power application, that's a different story. We'd need to know what the amp draw of each unit is and how many you're doing.
