H Track lighitng - what screws to use?

I am about to install H track lighting for the first time. The lighting track came without mounting hardware. What size screw should I use?

How large and heavy is your lighting and what are you attaching it to?

It is a 6 feet track. I will be attaching about 4 small line voltage spots.

I was thinking to use nylon self drilling anchors. I am guessing the weight rating is reduced with ceiling installation a bit over wall/hanging installation?

I wouldn't trust plastic anchors. In a wall the force vector is only about 90° so only a small percentage of the weight is acting on the anchor to pull it out but in a ceiling the force vector is a 180° so the whole wight is trying to pull it out. You could use molly screws also.

It all depends on what your mounting to. You never said but it matter if it is wood, sheet rock, plaster or concrete.
