Ceiling Fan Wiring Question

Hey all, I am installing a Model 2 Hunter Ceiling fan.

I am installing this to 1 light switch with a pull chain. I set the fan up by connecting the x1 Black wire on both ends. x1 White wire on both ends, + the ground wire.

The fan works. The lights do not. There is a separate light attachment which I connected to the matching colors/letters (sort of looks like a MOLEX connector on PCs) but the lights DO NOT work.

I have a second Hot (Black) cable. Do I need to attach this? I thought I can attach only 1 black wire and the fan + pull chain lights would work.

Thanks

Does power come in at the switch or the ceiling. Does the fan have a blue wire? How many 2-conductor cables at the switch and ceiling?
