light fixture doesn't come off even when I flip the switch

Hi all,

I have a similar problem in my Canadian condo. I bought a new light fixture and it has a Black, White and Green-Yellow wire attached to it.
In my ceiling, it has a bundle of Black wires, a bundle of White wires, a bundle of Green wires and a single Yellow wire coming out.

I connected my IKEA light in the following way:
- black to Black bundle
- white to White bundle
- green-yellow to Green Bundle

When I plug in the light it comes on....but when I flip the wall.switch, the light doesn't come off....why is this?

The wall switch has 2 spare switches,

Thw first switch has a black wire connected to one screw and a yellow wire connected to the other, then there is a ground green wire connected inside the box.
The second switch has a black wire connected to its screw and also connected to the black wire of switch 1. It also has an orange wire connected to the top screw.

The only way to turn off these lights is by turning off the breaker switch, but I don't want to keep doing this as this switch is connected to multiple other devices in my condo......please help, I'm unsure of what to do and what the issue may be.

I have tried a bunch of combinations....but these switches don't seem to have any impact on this ceiling light.

Welcome to the forums. Try using black to yellow in your ceiling box, and white to white. Let us know how that goes. Also, clarify "when I plug the light". Plug it where?
