Wiring lights, switches & outlets

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can take a look at my basic wiring plan for a couple outlets, a couple switches and lights. Basically, I have power coming in and I'm going to split the line in a junction box. One line for the outlets and the other going to the switches.

One of the light switches will turn on 2 exterior porch lights at the same time. The other switch will turn on one interior light.

Take a look at my crude diagram and let me know if anything looks out of whack. I've got all the neutrals for the switch wiring tied together. I'm pigtailing off the switches for the power. I didn't include ground, but I'm pretty sure I can handle that . Thanks for any feedback.

(i just realized this might need to be in the AC & DC section. I apologize if a mod needs to move it. Thanks. )

Your schematic is correct. No three way switches, I gather.

Thanks.

Correct. No 3 way switches, thank goodness.

Can I just connect the two hot lines that go to the lights together inside the box and run a short pig tail to the pole? Is that how it would normally be done?

We normally strip enough of the incoming power cable to allow us to strip a section of the hot wire to go around the screw of one switch, then on to the next switch. Pigtailing is fine, but the other way eliminates the possibility of loose wires, and is cleaner.
