Loose light fixture/wiring in 3 way switch please help

In our basement we have 2 3-way switches at the top & bottom of the stairs. These control several light fixtures in the basement (in other words all turn on/off together when switch is operated). now one at the bottom of the stairs does not light, but all the others work fine. I have checked for loose wires where they connect to the fixture but the connection is fine. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums! Have you checked the connections at the fixture that feeds the one that does not work?

the connections to the fixture itself (black/white/ground) are fine, what else should I be checking?

Post #2 advises you to check the connection at the fixture that feeds this one. Have you done that, yet? There are two ends of the cable.

you should remove the non working light fixture.............you should end up with one white wire and one black (maybe red) wire hanging out of the box. with a meter.......ck. for voltage between the black and white...........you should have 120 volts give or take. if you have 120 volts here -the fixture is bad...........if not go ck. the other end of the wire.

You say you have checked the wire connections. Have you verified that the bulbs are good?
