Kitchen undercabinet lighting

Kitchen undercabinet lighting

Hello,
I am trying to install undercabinet lighting for my kitchen. Name:  10.jpg

I bought above lights from Ikea.
My plug point is in a cabinet above the stove.
The idea is to to plug it theres and bring the switch and transformer onto the next cabinet and install the lights below it.

The problem I am having is that I have to drill a huge hole through the cabinets(approximatedly 4 inch dia) to fit the power plug.

Is that normal? or should I cut the wire and then seal with insulation tape(this make it easier as I can drill very small holes).

Please let me know.

The power plug (upper right corner of your pic) should only require a small 1" hole. Why do you think a 4" hole is require?

Size:  49.4 KBthank you so much. I was thinking of squeezing in the transformer as well. I did a 1 inch dia hole and the project is done. Here is a picture. thanks a bunch again.
