What size Dimmer Switch do I need?

I have just fitted:-
16 Dimmable electronic transformers in parallel
Prim: 240v-50/60Hz, 0.26A

Please could you confirm that is this equivalent to 60w each?
I worked this out that for 240v = 1A so 0.26A is 63w?

(63*16=1008) So I need a dimmer switch that is capable of switching over 1kw at least?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

A +1000 watt dimmer would be extremely large.
You used the maximum amperage transformer number.
What bulbs or lamps are you using ? Your actual wattage may be nowhere near that high.

Ok.... so your load would be close to 1000 watts. 16x55= 880 watts.

You'll need to search for 240v 1000w magnetic transformer dimmer.

Lutron lists 277v dimmers but I haven't found any for 240v yet.
