Lightbulb Harbor bBeeze DC Fan

Separated From: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...-switches.html

so i bought a harbor breeze DC fan (portes), although i love the fan, it appears to have some drawbacks.
I need the wall control to turn on the light when i walk into the room (long hallway) but want to be able to turn off the light with the remote in bed.
I bought the fanimation TW30 wall control but apparently they are not compatible because of all the "features" from the fan remote.
I call both fanimation and harbor breeze customer service, and they both confirmed they are not compatible. Harbor Breeze also confirmed that the fan cannot work on more than one remote control, so I can't even mount a remote when I walk into my room to turn the light on.
Anyone have any better luck? All i want is to control the light...

Welcome to the forums!

I would recommend using a standard switch on the wall and just use that remote while in bed. It is always better to stay with the same brand family of components.
