Wiring Single Pole Switch with power at Light and Load (receptacles) at Switch

Hello,

I'm in the process of upgrading the switches, receptacles and lights in my house and ran into the following situation. Power going into the light (2 wire) then a cable (3 wire) cable between the light and the switch (single pole) and finally a cable (2 wire) next to the switch which feeds receptacles in the room - how do i go about wiring this as i'm a little rusty on my wiring skills.

At the light:
  • Black of power in to black of 3-conductor cable.
  • Black of light to red of 3-conductor cable.
  • All whites connected together.
  • Grounds per code.
At the switch:
  • Black of 3-conductor and black of 2-conductor connected to a pigtail.
  • Pigtail to one side of the switch.
  • Red to other side of switch.
  • All whites connected to each other.
  • Grounds per code.

That worked! I had one wire (red @ light) mixed up - much appreciated.
