2 switches to 1 light

The overhead light in my kitchen is controlled by 2 switches. I would like to make it where it is only controlled by 1 switch. Can someone tell me if this is possible and if so, how, and how easy will it be? I do not have much knowledge about electrical? The kitchen is too small to require 2 switches.

Welcome to the forums!

You can just splice the 2nd switch through and install a blank plate over the box. All junction boxes are required to be accessible so you can not just bury the old switch box.

You might be able to eliminate the one switch but this will depend on what wires are in the box. remove the switch (with the power off) and post how many wires or cables are in the box. As a note, if you see a group of whites that are spliced in the back of the box, the switch box likely can't be removed with out some major work.
