Opinions on light/exhause fan combo.

I'm thinking about installing one of these in as shower: Broan 744 70 CFM 1.5 Sone Ceiling Mounted HVI Certified Bath Fan with Light - Build.com Anyone have any opinions about the idea? I think my biggest concern is removing too much of the steam when you are in the shower. The shower will be 32 x 32.

Looks good quality to me.
I do think it was designed to be mounted in bathroom ceiling though and not directly inside shower.
I say this because it has a Light, Night Light, and Fan.
To use all functions, you would need 2 cables going to fan. One 3 conductor and One 2 conductor.
This assumes power coming from switch, which would be best to avoid overcrowding fan wiring box.

Not sure a combo in a shower is a good idea. The chassis will be sure to rust from the steam.

It is designed to be used in a shower.

I'm not interested in the night light feature. The installation manual doesn't even mention it. Not sure how it is supposed to function.

The whole point of the exhaust fan is to handle high humidity no matter where it is. If installed properly and run when the shower is on, the humidity should be removed to the outside.

I gave you my opinion.

If you find a fan/light combo that says for use inside a shower then you're all set.
