outdoor flood lights

I currently have three ( non motion) food lights at the back of the house. These light are located under the eave on a two story colonial. The lights are all operated off one switch inside my house. My issue I have recently notice empty beer bottles and other stuff near the house. I would like to replace the current lights with new LED lights with a motion detector (s) . My intent is to have the light deter drinking in my backyard. My question is to install one light with a motion detector or 3 lights with motion detectors. Do I need to re wire a new switch for the one motion detector. I do not want to leave the lights on all night

I am confused on what to do .

I would appreciate any help

Welcome to the forums! You can equip all the lights with motion sensors individually, and leave the switch in the on position. The lights will burn on demand individually. If you choose not to have the other two do that, then you will need to separate the one light from the switching and have it hot all the time. We'd need to know how things are wired at the switch. It may cannot be done easily without a little rewiring. Do you have access to the attic where the lights' wiring possibly runs?

Also the lights typically have a on time settings. After a period of no movement they turn off.
