bathroom exhaust fan

My bathroom exhaust fan quit working. repalced motor and plugged it into kitchen receptacle and it worked fine. Put it back in place and plugged it in and it just hums. What is wrong.

What is the voltage at the receptacle inside the fan housing.

Sounds like a poor connection inside the wiring compartment of the fan.

Also make sure that the fan is free to turn after you install it. Maybe a blade is hitting something.
