I have 8 foot florescent lights and like to convert to led

I have 8 foot florescent lights in a unheated building and like to convert to LED. Is it possible and can someone who knows about it post a link?

Thank you

They make eight foot retrofit LED bulbs that usually use the same tombstones and no ballast. You connect power in directly to the tombstones. Some though do connect to the ballast but since ballasts go bad bypassing the ballast may be a bit better.

Ray, interesting. Do they use T12 or T8 tombstones, and how expensive are the bulbs?

T-8 and T-12 use the same tombstones but the wiring is different. I believe the video is T-8 wiring. Price wise that could be the sticking point: Fluorescent Lights LED Replacement | T8 LED Tube Lights However if the ballast is bad and the tubes are old and you figure in the energy savings maybe not that bad

The way I have to replace bulbs on a yearly basis in the shop, purchasing LED's at 4 times the cost, eliminating the ballast replacement possibilities, it would attrition out over a couple of years, and give better lighting, to boot.

I know just where you can get those tubes too Larry and I will give you a link to them LED T8 4ft. 18watt FROSTED LENS retrofit G13 base 2 lamp retrofit kit 5000K Bright White LED's . Unfortunately they are temporarily out of stock but this is what you want you want the kit and when I bought mine I bought extra tombstones as I wanted to replace mine. They say get an electrician to do these but I did it myself not in every room and every place yet but I intend to. Back when I bought the kit they were $55.00 a piece for the best kit now they are $41.10 each So I may get more soon.

They have videos showing how they do the lights. I know you have a degree in electrical engineering as I read it on your website but you still might want to look it over as there is a certain way these are installed here is the video https://www.youtube.com/embed/Zjw2UXVJaS0 Ray first told me about this company they give great customer service.
