Under mount lighting electrical hard wire

I want to wire my undermount lights (sunbeam led) to a receptacle in the kitchen.
My question is how to properly wire these.
Can I cut off the male plug from the light ( in the picture) and hard wire into an existing plug in?
Or do i have to wire a new plug into a cupboard and plug it in?

Unfortunately you cannot cut off the plug as it is a voltage convertor for your light strip. It would need to remain in the system.

You would have to install a receptacle in an out-of-the-way location for them.
