Install Motion Sensor on Dusk to Dawn Floodlight

I want to install a motion sensor on a dusk to dawn floodlight. Do I simply install the motion sensor between the line and the fixture? Or would I have to tinker with the light sensor?

It would be best to disconnect the dusk to dawn sensor and just use the motion sensor which has its own light sensor built in.

I was afraid of that, but I wouldn't know where to begin. They are Lithonia models.

The sensor should be visible on the fixture. It will be wired with three wires.... red, black and white.

So I just remove those wires from the sensor?

There will be three wires coming out of the sensor. Disconnect those three from the fixture and you'll have a white and black from the fixture and a white and black from your supply cable.

So I would install the motion sensor between them?
