Replacing remote controlled ceiling fan with flourescent light fixture

I have a small room with a remote controlled ceiling fan with a light fixture. There is no wall switch to the ceiling box and access to the attic is very difficult.

Is there any issues with using the remote control unit from the fan to control a fluorescent light fixture? I would mount the received in the wiring channel of the light.

Thanks,

Jack

If the replacement light is made for a remote, it would come with it's own remote. I haven't seen one but they could exist.

That should be okay. You might also want to use something like this so you never needed to replace a battery. Lightning Switch | PulseSwitch Systems, LC
