Very fascinating. Thanks for the post. I was really expecting them to be a lot more expensive then those at your link.

I do see one problem in the future if they became very popular. Helium is an unsustainable resource. We can't make more. They will probably though be able to find an non elemental synthetic gas to replace it if there is enough of a demand.

Hydrogen is an alternative to the helium. I'm sure they can find others.

I did order one and I will replace the porch light with it. We will see how it goes. I'll probably buy these as replacements when other bulbs in my house go out as well.
