Wiring a Light Fixture

So I'm trying to install a light fixture that wasn't done by the renovators. Here's how they left the wiring.

The light I'm trying to install just one black/white/ground, so I don't have a clue as to how I should approach this.

Thanks.

Welcome to the best DIY forum on the Internet.

Connect the black wire from the light fixture to the single black wire hanging free. Connect the white wire from the lamp fixture to the single white wire hanging free. Connect the equipment grounding wire (green, green/yellow or bare copper) to the bundle of bare copper wires in the ceiling box. Use the proper size of wire nuts, (called Marettes in Canada) on all wires.

The white wire currently connected to the two blacks in the ceiling box needs to be re-colored black with a piece of tape or a marking pen.
