Rewiring/installing candelabra

I have 2x6 socket candelabras I want to install above a dining room table, but before I can do that, I need to re-wire them. Brought them over from Europe, so the sockets are replaced with 75W max sockets. Plan on using 40W Inc bulbs. Question: is 18AWG lamp wire sufficient to re-wire all the way to the ceiling box? Is the load going to be too much for one connection? I think I need heavier wire and another set of leads, but not sure...

Welcome to the forums.

Most, if not all, fixtures are wired with 18-2 lamp cord.

So you have 12 sockets and will be using 40 watt bulbs. That's 480 watts which is fine on that wire.
