Need help identifying ceiling fan brand

Hello,
I'm having an issue with my ceiling fan so I took it down in order to search for a model number or brand marking but the only identification numbers I could find are UC7067RC and E81964.

There are five blades, uplight and downlight, wall remote with three speeds and reverse.
The fan started making some grinding/scraping noises and then stopped rotating. And I'm unable to manually rotate it. So before I try to fix it I thought it might be helpful to know the make and/or model.
Thank you so much for any helpful information you can provide.
Best,
Lea

Anything under the globe? Can you possibly tell by the mfg. Of the remote?

Hampton Bay maybe. That what comes up as one of their model numbers (the first number).

The E number is a UL listing and is registered to Halsey Enterprises Mfg. in Taiwan. They're one of the companies that supply lower end fans like Hampton Bay.

Nothing under the globe nor on the remote.

That first number (UC7067RC) seems to come up as a remote receiver for Hampton Bay, but also for many other brands.

If you are in an older house a piece of plaster may have come thru the electrical box and got lodged in the motor. I've had this happen several times in one of my rooms.

Removing the fan and turning it upside down usually cures the problem.

Mysterious ceiling fan wobble

Well, I did everything possible to fix the grinding noise of the fan, reinstalled it and the grinding noise is gone, but it is wobbling like crazy!!! I assume it's either unbalanced blades or the set screw on top is loose. Could it be anything else?

Here's a picture of it intact and hung. I'M STILL TRYING TO IDENTIFY THE BRAND. Any ideas? I really appreciate your help

There are hundreds, if not a thousand different ceiling fans. Unless someone has that exact fan and sees this post.... there isn't much chance of ID'ing it. All the better brands put their name ON their fans.

If you spin it slowly by hand..... are the blades all at the same height ?
The first thing I do when a fan wobbles is to check the screws between the mounting arms and the motor and the mounting arms and the blades.

Thanks PJmax. - When I spin it by hand the blades do seem to be at the same height. -- The other thing I noticed when I reinstalled it was that there was excessive wobbling and movement of the whole thing when it was turned off and I was just putting in a light bulb.

Hi ray2047 -- Sorry, but I'm such a newbie at this. Don't really understand your question. Where would I find that information? I assume I have to disconnect it and take it down again.

FYI, all the down rod installed fans (as opposed to flush mount) that I've ever seen hung on essentially a ball joint that is made to "wobble" a bit. You might try switching a couple of the blades. Chances are you didn't install the blades back in the same positions they were removed from.

If the box you used had 8-32 fixture screws then it was not fan rated. If the box had fixture mounting ears like below it was not fan rated.

IF it had 10-24 mounting posts then it would be fan rated.
