Access Exaust Fan Bulb

Moved from: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...lb-change.html

Hi,
I pulled the cover about 6-8 inches down the wire on one side, but couldn't see or feel any bulb.
What kind of bulb does it use? I craned my neck - almost twisted it but still couldn't see anything inside.

I've been going to bathroom in the dark for several months. Each time I remember to call technical support they are off hours. I'm at west coast.

Welcome to the forum. You say you pull the cover down 6 - 8 inches - you should see two spring wires ( actually one wire in a "vee" shape). Squeeze them together and they should unhook from the fan body. You can then see clearly what is in the reflector. There are actually two of the spring clips if you want to take the lens down for cleaning.

Thank you!

Guys, thanks for the prompt responses and picture.
Finally got it. it took me a while to see the bulb that was encased securely in a metal case. But I found the latches to take down the transparent shield and finally saw the bulb.

I was expecting to just open, snap out, snap in. Didn't expect to take the whole thing down and needed screw drivers.

Thanks again!!
Have a great weekend.
