LED Driver Provblem

Mod note: Member is in the UK

Hello All,

I am new here, and not great with electrics so please bare with me!

I have 2 spotlights in my kitchen using GU10 blubs and I have recently replaced these with LED's.

I purchased an 10W LED driver and when I switch the light on, one of the spotlight fires briefly and then turns off, however the second switches on.

To rule out the driver I purchased another, this time 40W. I have replaced and the same thing happens. Light 1 flashes on for a second following by light 2 coming on as expected.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

Since one turns on OK, I would start by making sure the first one is wired correctly, and the connections are good. Then I would take an electrical meter (analog preferably) and check to see what you have for voltage. Most LED bulbs I have used in the US are 12 VDC so yours likely should be the same, but check the lamp package to make sure.

Are these existing fixtures that you just replaced the bulbs, or did you install a new fixture? Where are you installing the driver(s)? Can you post a link of the lamps/fixture/driver you are using?
