How to make garage door opener trigger light switch on wall?

Hello,

This is what I'm trying to do: I have a garage door opener which has two E26 sockets for the lights. I have LED shop lights in the ceiling which are controlled by a wall switch. I want to have the garage door light trigger the shop lights. Wireless seems to be the only way to do this; the property is a rental and I can't run wire (the wall switch is inside the house). I hope I made this clear enough

Thank you,
Scott

#1, Why?
#2, "It's a rental" I catch one of my renters messing with the wiring and there out.
Unless you have written permission from the owner do not do it.

Welcome to the forums.

How about replacing the wall switch with a motion sensing type ?

Joe, he already is aware that he does not want (or should not) run wires. PJ's suggestion of a motion light is a good one. And their inexpensive.
