Problem removing existing recessed light fixture in the kitchen

I live in a town home that was built in 2008, Kitchen currently have G24Q-3 4-Pin Base and those bulbs keep going out way too frequently and difficult to find. I was thinking to change them with the LED but seems like i will need to replace the can.

I am pretty handy person and can pretty much do anything around the house as long as i know how it is done the right way.

Do you guys have any suggestions how i will be able to remove the cans ? There is not space above since it is 2 story home.

All help will be really appreciated

Try pulling the trim down so you can take a picture of the can or inside the can. If those were installed before the sheetrock then they will be attached to the joists.

We can comment further when we know what you have there. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
