Low voltage transformer - switch incandescent to LED lights?
I have an older set of low voltage incandescent garden lights and was wondering if I could switch the fixtures to LED ones? I would like to know if I can use the old transformer and wiring with the new lights??
Thanks in advance....

Look for a retrofit LED module for low voltage landscape lights (Malibu). Example: http://www.amazon.com/replacement-vo...=indifash06-20

Thanks for all the info about the bulbs. I read somewhere online that these lights can have issues if the wattage used is not at least half of what the transformer is rated for?? Do you know if that issue would be the same for LED bulbs? I think the wattage will go from 30W to like 6W if I convert to LED and my transformer is rated for 42W.

The LED replacements are not susceptible to slightly higher voltages like the incandescents are.
