Light Fixture wire central

Hi, wondering if anyone can help. We took down an old light fixture in our house but didnt take a picture of how it was wired stupidly! I have attached a picture, there are 4 red wires, 2 earth and 4 black wires and then a blue and brown from the new fixture. When we've looked online there are never this many wires, so we're very confused! The problem we have is we can get the light to turn on, but it won't switch off - can anyone help figure out why it wont turn off?

Welcome to the forums from the UK.

I see a cable with a red and black wire not connected. That looks like a switch loop.
Try changing your wire to this diagram.
