Replacement dusk to dawn for light under porch overhang

Seems like every few years I need to replace the photo sensor (won't turn off).

I would like to start using a dimmable LED, but the bulb flashes instead of going off during the day.

Is there an option where I can extend the photo eye with a wire?

Also, having trouble finding a replacement fixture with dusk to dawn. Most seem to be motion sensitive - not what I want.

Thanks in advance.

If the photo sensor gets water in it.... it will stop working.

You'll need to use a three wire photo sensor if you want to use any bulb other than an incandescent. I would recommend using a dedicated photocell and not one in a fixture.

You'd need to explain that question better.
