Help. Outdoor lighting fixture will not light up

Hi,

I was replacing a burned out light bulb with the outdoor lighting fixture. The new light bulb lit up but the next day, it burned out again. I tried a few new bulbs but none of the new ones worked. I bought a new lighting fixture and replaced the old one but it will not light up. Strange, it lit up last night but not today. I flipped all the breaker switches in the garage breaker box (the builder wrote SPAIR for some switch but I dun know what that means). The light fixture still will not light up.

Any idea on what may have happen. I would like to fix this before I have to call an electrician.

Thanks for reading my post.

John

Is there a switch somewhere? Even photocell controlled lights usually have a switch. Make sure it is on. If it is turn off the breaker and connect the two wires on the switch together. Turn on the breaker and see if it now works.

What kind of outdoor lighting fixture is it?
