Exclamation LEDs on when switch off

A little while ago, I purchased LED bulbs from Rona and a dimmer switch.

I put in the dimmer switch and replaced all the light bulbs in the room. The dimmer works, the LEDs dim correctly. My issue is, there's obviously a little bit of electricity leaking from the dimmer switch and causing the LED lights to have a glow to them when they're off (switch is turned off). I figure it's from the LED on the switch.

Is there a way to stop this? I'm afraid my LEDs are going to die sooner and they're also really annoying to sleep with.

Could I add a resistor between the positive line and the switch, or a capacitor?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Adding a resistor will make it worse.

You won't hurt the LED's but you'll need to change the dimmer to get them to go out completely.

So, having them flicker whilst really dim is okay? They won't shorten the LED lifespan?

I wouldn't think that would hurt them.
