fan bulb question
I have a ceiling fan with lights. It uses 4 bulbs. The type of bulbs I currently using is A15 E17(intermediate base) 60W. (Shop Feit Electric 2-Pack 60-Watt A15 Intermediate Base (E-17) Soft White Incandescent Ceiling Fan Light Bulbs at Lowes.com)
Two of them burned out recently, and I purchased two new bulbs and replaced. but they burned out again within one month.
questions:
should I replace 4 bulbs at the same time?
or could be some wire problem on those two socket?
What other type of bulbs can be used to replace my current ones(A15 E17)? Prefer 60W, 45W is ok too.
Thanks!

If this hasn't been an ongoing problem then Ray is probably correct. I haven't had good luck with Feit anything.
There's not any real reason to change all four at once.
You may want to check (with the power off!) that the little spring center contact of the socket is still springy. Sometimes it helps to pull it up a bit so it makes better contact with the bulb.
If the fan wobbles that can be hard on the bulbs so it should be balanced or the bulbs replaced with LED's as Ray suggests. E17 base LED's can be hard to find, especially 60 watt equal, but they can be had online. I've found the ones that look like small spotlights work better than the little tower ones and are more reliable, but they don't work with all glass shades.
You could also use CFL bulbs, but those are getting hard to find (especially in E17) as everyone transitions to LED.

Most fans that use a standard incandescent lamp won't work properly with LED's or CFL bulbs.
Actually... some dimmers in the fan can be damaged by LED bulbs.
