Ceiling fan rotation

Hi All, how is the rotation determined?when sitting under the fan and looking up at it,if it is turning CCW as suggested for cooling the blades appear to be pitched the wrong way, this is true with all my fans, I am thinking the best thing would be to go by the pitch of the blades and not CW/CCW.
Thoughts.

Unless your fan is an oddity, looking up CCW will force the air down. The leading edge is pointed up and the trailing edge down.

You need to look at it from the up to ceiling, Everything will look reversed on the floor.

Blows down is summer, up in winter. Trailing edge down blows air down.
