Ceiling fan hums

We installed a ceiling fan with a mount located on a metal ridge beam. The provider of the beam was a sun room manufacturer. There suggestion was a rubber dampener. Are there prodicts that are essentially rubber material that can be fitted to the base mount.

Welcome to the forums.

Some fans come with rubber isolation bushings. That is part of the fan's mounting system.

We'd need to know what type of mounting your fans uses but I'm fairly certain you won't be able to add any useful isolation method and would need to replace the fan.

A picture of the fans base/mounting would be helpful. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
