One Way Switch
hi guys,
wanted to replace a single light switch, thought how hard can it be.....
power off etc, then took old light switch out, put new light switch in...wife didn't like the chrome, so took new one out and put original back in.
When i put the power back on the light remains on regardless of switch position.
Currently have it wired as per below, and am almost 100% that i have the right wires in the right terminal, one thing i wasn't expecting was that there was a single wire into L1 but two wires both put into L2 - is that normal?
not sure what i've done? Help

Give us a picture of the back of the switch, pulled out so we can see the wiring, and especially the colors.
