Ceiling fan: All switches control fan, lights do not work

Hi all, I recently purchased a home built in 2005 and I believe the previous owners had a ceiling fan installed and it is apparently not wired correctly. It has two sets of switches, one next to the patio door and one on the other side of the living room. I believe one switch in each set is to control the fan, the other is meant to control the lights. In one set of switches, both control the fan itself and in the other set, one controls the fan and the other does nothing. Upon seeing the lights not working I immediately assumed it was the bulbs and changed them but that wasn't the problem. Also, I do not have power in the bulb sockets so as far as I know I have ruled out a bad fixture. The fan is a newer hunter, I'm not sure of the M/N and no manual or info was left with the fan. I do commercial HVAC for a living and I know my way around electrical, I just need a good starting point for my troubleshooting. I've been searching around on here for a bit but couldn't locate anything on this exact problem. Thanks everyone!

You need to open each switch box, leaving the wires connected pull the switches out, give us pictures of both sides of the switch, and a picture of any wires connections in the box. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...rt-images.html
