Bathroom ceiling fan
Bought a new ceiling fan as the motor in my old one was on its last legs. My old fan has the electrical on one side and the duct work on the other side. The new fan I bought has both on the same side. I also can't access this from the attic as it's on the first floor. I'm wondering is it possible to install the new motor to the old housing if the voltage and amps are the same on each motor? Thanks in advance

Actually I think you have a vent fan not a ceiling fan. Give us the make and model number of both fans. You may be able to buy just a motor for the old fan.

I've probably swapped out more fan motors in bathroom vent fans than new complete units I've installed.
