Mounting ceiling fan to an insulated aluminum roof panel with fan beam
Hi, I just got a screened porch installed by professionals, and they told me 2 of the panels have a fan beam in it to run electrical wires through and mount a ceiling fan. The panels appear to be Pro-Fab panels which are like Elite aluminum panels. From what I understand, there is a 3" x 3" spacing in the middle of the 48" panel from which I can run the electric wires through which I don't think I will have any problems with, however the question I have is regarding how I should mount the bracket of the ceiling fan to the fan beam inside the panel? The installers don't do the electrical and they told me that any electrician should know what to do, but I do a search online, and I am not seeing any information on how this fan beam looks like and how one should mount the bracket to the fan beam?
Has anyone done this before? Please help. Thank you so much!

I've put up a few of those rooms... My guess is that your electrician will not want to use the chase if there is no wire, or access to wiring. The raceway deadends into the aluminum fascia that is generally mounted to your fascia and rafter tails... and my guess is he wont like drilling through all that. All electrical work should have been coordinated DURING the install. He will probably just surface mount some wire mold to the panels. The raceway in your panels is just square tube aluminum. Hopefully your installers know what they are talking about and have given you the correct mounting locations, since that is critical.
