Recessed lighting in sloped ceiling
My living room has a sloped ceiling on one side of the room. I'm wanting to add in recessed lighting to the room. I have remodel recessed fixtures already. I use the LED inserts that have the trim included into the lamp. I was wondering if those would work fine in the sloped part of the ceiling. My concern is whether or not I should get the recessed fixtures that can angle to match the slope of the ceiling so that the lights are firing down instead of across the room. I've attached a picture of my living room to this post.

Halo does make a fixture for ceilings like that but it is for new work...... before sheetrocking.
I was originally thinking you could use an angled trim but that only works with the new work fixtures.
That leaves the popular swivel eyeball trim that fits the 6" old work cans.
You could use the LED trims you have but since the light is directional.... it may look strange.

The eyeball trim works in either can and like pjmax said that's what I would do but with the eyeball trim it's going to stick out a little bit and the other way using sloped can and led bulb and trim in one it will shine where you want and be flush.

To my fellow electricians and all the good people asking us questions on this site have a great holiday weekend be safe and God bless. This site is incredible, the guys here know what there talking about and I have seen other sites where it's a hot mess of information from people just taking a educated guess so for people asking these guys for advice you can take it to the bank these guys are spot on. Would you guys recommend just doing 2 rows of 3 lights? I was going to add in 8 lights, ( 3 x 2 x 3) but that seems like it would cause a lot of light to hit the wall and not the floor. My LEDs are 15W (120w equivalent) 120 degree. The room is 16 x 19.5 with a max ceiling height of 12ft. If my math is correct that would mean that one light will create a 25ft beam spread. Would a 2x2 grid suffice since the beam will be so broad?

putting pot lights in a ceiling with exterior exposure is a bad idea; raises the utility bills.
