Ceiling fan electrical box

My wife and I bought a house originally built in the 50's but was just remodeled. Most of the electrical was upgraded but not all of it. We want to install fans in tow of the rooms where light fixtures currently are. I pulled the light off but I can't tell if the box can support the fan. I know it doesn't have a ground, which is unfortunate. Any help would be apprecited. I have photos but I'm new here and I'm not sure how to post them.

Welcome to the forums.

Grounding won't affect operation of the fan.
If they are original boxes... they are probably not fan rated.
