Recessed LED light install for new build

I am behind the times here...installing cans was the method I did long ago, but now, with LED lighting, they have the light in a 3" small housing connected to a tiny box. Both of which, can installed after drywaller...there is no electrical rough-in other than leaving a loop of wire.

I am supposed to install 6 or so pot lights in kitchen (drywall is not present). Problem is, drywaller will cover everything, as there will be no cans. I can leave a wire loop for each LED light, but I need drywaller to leave a perfectly aligned hole...
How do they do it?

They don't. If there is a rough-in can there.... they cut out for it. If there is a wire loop there they poke it thru the rock. They don't measure and cut perfectly located holes for you.

What I do in a similar type situation is to take good pictures for reference. Then I lay the framework out on graph paper with the joist locations carefully measured and marked. Be sure to also show the fixtures on the diagram. After the rocking is done.... you need to measure, mark the ceiling based on your carefully labeled diagram and then cut the holes.

An electrician friend did it with round boxes. There are LEDs that fit into boxes. I like that idea, as it saves headache all around.
And LEDs nowadays throw some great light. Really impressed.
