Junction box wiring

Hi, I have a junction box that has two black wires coming into it with a marette and two white wires that also have been maretted. I have a led light fixture that I want to install but unsure how to connect it. Do I just connect the two black wires located in the junction box to the black wire on the light fixture and do the same with the white wire's?...please help!

Welcome to the forums.

Do you know what circuit breaker controls that circuit.
You need to make sure it's a 120v circuit.

Yes.... fixture black to blacks and fixture white to whites.
However, those wire splices indicate an always live connection.
How will the light be controlled ?
