One light not working on 3 branch outside lamp.

So, I have an outside Lamppost where as there are 3 60W bulbs inside the glass. One of the bulbs went out and when I went to replace it, the new one one doesn't go on. Any thoughts on how to approach/fix this? Thanks!

It would appear to be a defective socket. Sometimes you can turn the power off to the circuit and bend the center contact up slightly to better contact the bulb.

Pete,
Thanks for the reply. The socket was working fine a few weeks ago. I'll try what you said. If that doesn't work, can I replace the socket?
THANKS!

Maybe. If it's held in with a screw and not crimped you can replace it.
