Bathroom Fan suddenly Quiter
Hello, my master bathroom exhaust fan of 18 years suddenly becomes quieter! It still run, just with Less noise. I took down the fan grille, and can see the exhaust fan running.
Does it mean the motor is less powerful now? I understand that typically motor either work, or break, there is no "in-between" stage.
Or maybe some 18-years dust just fall off somewhere in the duct and the noise level get reduced?
Anyway, I will be cleaning up the fan and the surrounding cover. Just wonder if I should change the fan at all?
Thanks
Sean

Most exhaust fans like that have removable motor/fan assemblies. There should be two screws holding the motor plate in place and a regular plug on the motor wiring.
Once the fan is out you can asses its condition better.
You can take the front cover and post a pic of the inside for further help.
