Help wiring in a new switch

Ok, I'm trying to wire another switch in a box that has a switch already that goes to the ceiling fan/lights. I'm trying to put an additional switch to go to a porch light. The box has Romex coming into the box from the ceiling fan, and a piece of Romex coming into the box from the new porch light. What I'm trying to do is tie these both together with 2 switches. One for each fixture. I though I had it wired right, but it's not. I tried to post a picture up , but couldn't get it to work. Anyway, if somebody could post a schematic up that would be great. I've looked all over, but can't find the one I need.

If you only have one 2 wire cable from the fan, and one 2 wire cable going to the porch light, the cable from the fan is a switch and you do not have a neutral in the switch box. You will need to run a new cable to the switch box with a separate hot/neutral, or run a 3 wire cable from the fan box to provide a neutral wire in addition to a hot and switchleg.
